Avoca Beach, Shutter Blending

Out at Avoca Beach teaching once again on a private course, walking people through the technique of Shutter Blending. This one is done with the 10 stop ND filter and is a blend of four images from memory.

For some reason the conversion to jpeg made the blues in the sky quite grainy. Not sure what happened there. Would have loved to get some cloud in the shot but it wasn’t meant to be.

Northern Beaches Photography Workshop – Narrabeen Baths and Mona Vale Baths

A few quick snap shots of Narrabeen Baths and Mona Vale Baths taken on my Northern Beaches Day Course held last Saturday. I find shooting during the middle of the day extremely unflattering in terms of light. So to make things a bit interesting we played around with f-stops, shutter speeds and also iso settings to create different shots. Would have loved some cloud in these shots but it wasn’t meant to be. Maybe next time. Both of these shot were taken around 2pm in the afternoon.
