Port Macquarie Landscape Photo Course

Port Macquarie Landscape Photography Course

Between the dates of Monday the 16th of February and Sunday the 23rd of February I will be in the Port Macquarie area shooting.

During this time I am offering my Private One on One course for $450 for the day (an additional $50 per person can be paid if you want to bring a friend or two or three along).

I am only allocating two days of my trip to teaching so only two bookings will be taken. I’m happy run the course anywhere from Forster to South West Rocks.

Further details about my private courses can be found on my website under “Private Tuition

If your interested please email me via my web site’s contact page.

Koolewong Dawn

This shot is from the same morning as the panoramic below but taken with the beautiful red dawn light.

Koolewong Boats, Central Coast

I shot this other morning while trying out the new (free) upgrade to the 360 precision head I got so I can angle the camera up / down in 5 degree increments instead of 45 degree. Worked a treat. The sunrise on this morning was blood red but I feel the tones with the warmer light opens up the shot a lot more. I’ll leave the blood red shots to the Fuji GX617 that I also shot with this morning.

I don’t really like the blues in this, but it was the light I was given on the day.

This is 7 shots at 50mm.

Storm Chasing, The Entrance

Storm Front, The Entrance

This week during one of my private photography courses the weather turned from bright sun to an afternoon storm and lightening was striking all over the place. So we decided to do a bit of storm chasing.

The lightening was so fast it was very hit and miss. So in the end I set my camera up for continuous shooting and was just taking sequences of 4 shots in a row at random and then finally I got one.

The image is a two shot blend, the blend happening only for the boat as in the original lightening shot the boat had floated and was covering the rear pylon and it detracted from the shot.

Newcastle Landscape Photography Day Course

Nobbys Beach contempory

My last photography course for 2008 was held in Newcastle and the light that we had at the end of the day was a real treat. Rainbows were popping in and out. The sky lit up orange and gold, followed by a strange red swirl in the sky after the sun had set.

The border on the top shot took just as long as whole development of the digital panoramic. The bottom shot is after sunset, love the red cloud in the sky.

My 2009 Newcastle Day Course dates are below:

14th March 2009 | 13th June 2009 | 19th September 2009

Uluru Video

A quick video that I just put together of some footage I took while shooting at Ayres Rock in November. The camera work is a bit rough (to say the least) but I did what I could while trying to shoot with my 6×17 and Canon at the same time. An extra hand or two would have been…. handy 🙂
