Your Northern Beaches Book – Special

In December 2007 I published my first book which I called “Your Northern Beaches”. After shooting this beautiful coastline of Sydney for a good four years I felt I had a broad collection to achieve one of my goals as a photographer and that was to self publish a book.

After a good six months of designing / writing / proofing and taking additional photos to fill in shots that I felt I was missing I received my two advanced copies of the book from the printer, soon followed by a truck full of my books.

This book is coming close to the completion of my first print run of 5000 books and I only have 10 cartons left and I though I would put on a special. The book retails for $27.50 plus $9 postage and I am offering the book at $20 with postage included anywhere in Australia.

The book is an 80 page pictorial journey from Manly all the way to Palm Beach with some selected shots of Sydney city in there as well. Printed on gloss paper, hard backed with a jacket. When closed the book is 27cm x 17.5cm in size and it is the only current pictorial book on the market for the area.

Fuji G617 panoramic camera for sale with original case, manual etc

For sale is Quentin Mushins Fuji G617. This camera has the fixed 105mm and is a dream to use.

The camera comes with it’s original black leather case, 105mm centre filter, instruction manual.

He will be happy with $3300. The camera also has a ground glass as well that can be bought additional to the price.

As you can see from the pic it looks in excellent condition.

Professional Picture Framing equip for sale

THIS EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN SOLD AND COLLECTED BY THE NEW OWNER

For the past six years I have done a lot of my own picture framing and the time has come where I have this equipment for sale. All the equipment is professional level,  consisting of a MORSO F TWIN-KNIFE GUILLOTINE and a MINIGRAF 3 bench top v-nailer + compressor.

I am selling this equipment as I no longer have the room or the time to do the framing myself. All the gear works perfectly.

The Morso guillotine comes with a custom made stainless steel left hand side frame support that attaches to the machine(not seeing in picture). The Australian Retailer Anton’s sells this item new for around $4000. Details of this machine can be found here.

The Minigraf 3 I bought off a framer in WA that Christian Fletcher used to share the gallery space with in Busselton. (Small world hey). This was sold by Anton’s and to buy this new is about $3500 and details can be found here. I have a range of v nails for this machine as well that will be included.

Making and putting together your own frames saves you a huge piece of the profit with your sales and I bought my frame direct from the same wholesales that all the framing galleries bought from. The likes of Anton’s, Hughes and Marks. All I did was set up accounts with them.

I got all this gear at a great price and I am selling it for the same. $750 per item or if you buy both $1200.

Fotoman Cameras Ceasing Production

Today I was talking with Scott the owner of Main Line Photographic’s (who is the Fotoman Retailer in Australia) regarding selling my Fotoman 6×24 and he told me some interesting news that the company “Fotoman” is ceasing production on all its camera’s and disbanding.

On the Fotoman web site (under their Q&A section) they talk about still offering full support and parts for their cameras and the future of the company etc.

As us film shooters know the Fotoman 6×17 camera was and still is for the time being while stocks last, a great option to shoot the format with the Schneider lens without breaking the bank. (Linhof uses the same lenses and a new one will cost you $12 grand where the Fotoman with the same lens is around $6 grand). Then you have the Fotoman 6×24 like I have that pumps out a crazy sized tranny (22.4cm x 5.6cm).

If you are interested or were ever looking to get a Fotoman get in quick while stocks last apparently they are depleting quickly.

I remember the day where I wished I had one 617 camera and now I have three.

Since the purchase of my Fuji GX617 I no longer need to hold onto my other panoramic systems and they are now for sale.

Both cameras have just been fully serviced, shutters cleaned and tested and strip cleaned by Baltronics (Sun studios) a professional camera workshop here in Sydney. Proof of service can be supplied if needed.

Fuji G617 (fixed 105mm lens) – $3200 – SOLD
Camera shows minor signs of use and cosmetic markings. Clean optics, center filter and view finder. Camera takes 120 and 220 medium format film. Center filter included, along with original lens hood.

Linhof 617 (fixed 90mm lens) – $3900 – SOLD
Camera is in excellent condition, minor marks on body from metal buckles on strap. Clean optics. Removable view finder (clean and clear). No center filter. Camera takes 120 medium format film. I have owned the camera since Jan 08. I am the second owner and have the original purchase documents and manual. I have shot with this camera and found the use of a center filter is a personal choice but I havent had any fall off issues.

With both cameras I will through in a cable release and a couple of pro packs of Velvia 50 to get you started.

The Fuji G617 has got me to where I am today with my photography and my website is a testament to what this camera can do for you. The Linhof has been just as good but upgrading to the GX617 with a 90mm was always a plan.
